Myakka River State Park

It was a girls’ day out, and we spent it hiking and wildlife watching in Myakka River Park, Sarasota, FL (http://www.myakkariver.org/index.php). We took the boat ride and watched alligators, birds, and fish-jumping and splashing our feet. We went on a nature and canopy walk in the park and tried alligator bites. The alligator bites were gooey.

The pictures will show best how much fun this place is.

We plan to return to the park for canoeing on the Upper Myakka Lake and watch alligators. We will bring our bikes and spend part of the day biking on the unpaved trails and hiking.

This was a great trip!
